Fayes House
Faye's House will provide temporary charitable housing for cancer patients and their care givers during treatment and recovery in Spokane. While Because There Is Hope has offered support throughout its existance in a variety of ways, Faye's House is the ultimate vision of Because There Is Hope. The American Cancer Society reports that each month, twenty individuals from Eastern Washington, Montana, Oregon and Northern Idaho must stay in hotel rooms in Spokane while they undergo cancer treatments. Faye's House would fulfill this need for shelter while offering a supportive home-like environment that a hotel room cannot provide. Alongside simple shelter, Faye's House will offer mental, physical, and spiritual support through education and resources.
Faye’s House will be named in memory of Faye McLain. Faye was an inspiration to many during her journey of breast cancer. She inspired many to reach out and offer help and hope to other women who have been touched by breast cancer. Thus, it is fitting that Faye's House should be named for her.
